Government decision on deregulation |

The Hungarian Government has decided to annul, either partially or completely repeal nearly 2000 obsolete government decrees. This event indicates that the deregulation programme, initiated as part of the Zoltán Magyary Programme for the development of public administration and aims to review the formal elements and content of the Hungarian legal system, has reached its second milestone. The deregulation activity of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice is assisted by NIPA. The government’s decision affects government decrees which have become redundant, lost their significance, are inaccurate, inapplicable, or which are not compatible with the government’s programme. The purpose of deregulation is to create a clear situation concerning which government decrees are operative and applicable in the future, and also to decrease bureaucracy and the burden of administration.

It is most common that further training and manager training systems operate separately, with independent institutions, portfolios and capacities. In order to bring the two systems into accord with each other, and also to better utilize available capacities and resources, it is necessary to integrate management and further training systems of the public administration, law enforcement and defence forces. The integrated system needs to set common rules, however, it also needs to take into consideration the special regulations of each different career lines.
