The Public Administration Academy (PAA) department of the National Institute of Public Administration welcomes you.
Our objective is to prepare public administration employees to serve citizens at their best and to deepen understanding of the public sector in which they operate and the particular areas they need to master. In order to meet the ever-growing expectations PAA is required to improve the quality of the service in general, while becoming effective and professional. This will contribute to the establishment of a client-oriented public service.
The current system of public servant training was established in 1998 with the creation of a system based on planning. Our most important task is to consolidate the funds of public administration training system while bringing structural changes and corrections where necessary. The aim of restructuring the whole system of trainings –including the public administration basics exams and the public administration special exams-, has come from the recognition that in-service training should have an effect on civil servant career. Parallel to the announcement of a new career model for civil servants and government officials, a strategic document (the Magyary-plan) has been adopted in which the principles of new public administration priorities are stipulated.
In accordance with the governmental intentions, to achieve its ambitious goals, the Academy is in charge of carrying out the reforms which will be implemented in the training system. For this purpose, the Academy is required to transform the training system with the objective of establishing closer ties between training and career development. Respectively reforms are to be introduced in:
